“Let’s talk about our vibrant future. It calls every person, every day, to amaze each other, renew our calling, and be the best for our patients. I collected information from a larger group of 50, but then realized I needed to create something that I’m excited and inspired about. I’m inspired by creating a vibrant future together.”
Sara brought change when she walked in the door at St. Joseph’s. People were concerned that an “outsider” would create change that wouldn’t honor the history of St. Joe. But Sara is change leader who was willing to put a stake in the ground for a positive, vibrant future for the patients and people of St. Joe.
Sara will speak to the challenges of working with the tried and true long-term staff whose souls are identified at St. Joe, to demonstrate she would honor the past while bringing substantive change needed to thrive in the future.
We know she’s been successful: Modern Healthcare has named St. Joseph's Hospital one of the "100 Top Hospitals for Cardiac Care" for 2008. Of the nearly 1,000 hospitals evaluated, these 100 hospitals did significantly better than their peers on measures of mortality and complications in heart care.
A critical conversation: How does she keep hope alive during times of great change and evolution in the world of healthcare and the larger world? How does St. Joe meet the technological and future needs of a health care system? Sara will speak to the process, strategies and journey that helped her be successful in the midst of uncertainty and the biggest vision for St. Joe, yet to be accomplished.
