Neal GorenfloThe Next Economy:
Imagining a Law of Interdependence

with Neal Gorenflo (vew bio), Founder & Publisher, Shareable.net

Introducing the
Thought Leader Gathering Council Process

"The fundamental law of human beings is interdependence. A person is a person through other persons." Bishop Desmond Tutu

The Conversation: The remarkable successes of Zipcar, Wikipedia, Kiva and open source software tell a hopeful story about human nature, economics, and our future—one we don't hear enough in the mainstream media.

How do we expand our concept, expectations and execution of our current economic system? Can it be transformed?  Shareable offers viable complements and alternatives, exploring the economic implications of societal interdependence and authentic relationships.

As a former market researcher, stock analyst, and Fortune 500 strategist, Neal may be an unlikely voice for sharing. A revelation in 2004 inspired him to leave the corporate world to help people share through Internet startups and public events committed to the common good. In addition to his work at Shareable, Neal is Strategy Fellow at FAS.research and a member of Stanford's Persuasive Technology Lab.

Shareable.net is a nonprofit online magazine that covers the people, places, and projects bringing a shareable world to life. A shareable world might be just what's needed to enjoy life to the fullest today while creating a better tomorrow.

Imagine the Shareable philosophy as an integral part of your future. How does your future change in relation to your work and community? What are the economic upsides and downsides? What are the unintended consequences?

What will we do at the TLG?

In addition to our unusually informative and lively interactive conversation, stimulated by a provocative interview format hosted by Craig Neal with Neal Gorenflo, we’re introducing the Council Process.

We utilize Council Process to illuminate the collective wisdom of the group. Each of us attending brings experience and knowledge waiting to be tapped. We’ll address and offer practical reflections and ideas to a challenging request for wisdom that Neal will pose.

The request is designed to stimulate conversation and critical thinking among all attendees for the sake of better understanding for us, our communities and organizations.

Good conversation creates the foundation for mutual understanding. A shared understanding of reality is critical to high functioning society and organizations.

Join us for this conversation of consequence.
