BIOGRAPHY
I, Glenna Gerard, am a consultant, a facilitator, a coach, a business leader, a writer, a trainer. I am a woman, a dancer, a poet, a frustrated musician, a lover of The Land (desert, ocean, mountains, rivers, trees…). My work is my art is my life is my play is my spiritual practice.

I have been one of the primary developers of dialogue in the United States since 1990. I wrote a book with Linda Ellinor entitled Dialogue: Rediscover the Transforming Power of Conversation. I have contributed many articles to other books and publications in the US and abroad. I have worked with consultants, leaders, individuals and groups, in the private and public sectors. I am an international traveler and have given talks and led workshops in Europe, Canada, South America, Mexico, Asia, and Australia.

I currently live in Santa Fe, NM on land (not mine) with horses, a running creek, lots of trees and three large dogs. I believe all people want to be happy and free of fear (including me). I hope that each day I contribute in some way to diminishing fear and violence and building peace and happiness among those I come into contact with.

WHAT GETS YOU UP IN THE MORNING?
A Hopi Elder wrote “We are the ones we have been waiting for”. Acting on this truth, that we are the portals for collective intelligence, wisdom and creativity, my current passion is creating experiential opportunities called Presence Walkabouts for individuals and groups to hone and polish their capacity to create health/wholeness in all aspects of their lives.

Presence Walkabouts
"Presence" means: paying attention to that which is immediate; noticing what is emerging; discerning what is important; listening deeply and responding authentically.
A "Walkabout" is an experiential practice of heightened awareness, moving upon and in partnership with the Land and Nature. Such connection with the natural environment invokes inner resonance that opens the individual to different ways of knowing. This challenging personal practice of commitment to a Walkabout, originated with the indigenous peoples of Australia as a means of attuning with the powers of place (landscapes) and rhythm (seasons) in search of a deeper knowing and wisdom.
Presence Walkabouts cultivate this capacity of markedly increased awareness to open portals for grace, deeper knowing and wisdom in partnership with Nature.
