BIOGRAPHY As former CEO of Spire Financial Credit Union, John implemented a people first philosophy at Spire. Employees are part of a learning community, which includes personal growth as well as improving technical skills.In 2007, John completed a long-term strategy to reposition Spire from a traditional credit union, Twin City Coops Federal Credit Union, to a financial institution that experienced 1000% growth during his tenure. From 2000 to 2010, Spire doubled in size. In 2001 Spire was recognized with the Minnesota “Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award.” This cultural transformation resulted in Spire becoming the 15th fastest growing credit union in the United States from 1998-2002. John is originally from California. He is married to Stephany, has two children Nicole and Grant. He is active in his church and coaches several youth athletic teams. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Cooperative Foundation. |
