BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Kim has more than 25 years' experience in the Biotechnology industry, having worked with Shell Corporation investing in the industry when it was in its infancy. At Shell Dr. Kim was a co-founder of Triton Biosciences involved in novel therapeutic drugs from a collaboration with Cetus Corporation. Dr. Kim served as ExecutiveVice President and Chief Technical Officer at Mycogen Corporation for 12 years. Mycogen was sold to Dow Chemical Corporation for $1.2 billion in 1998. Dr. Kim has extensive experience in international corporate collaborations and mergers and acquisitions in Biotechnology. It was Dr. Kim's intellectual property (IP) strategy which resulted in the building of the $800 million patent estate of Mycogen Corporation. In addition to IP expertise, Dr. Kim has lectured on strategic planning and on creativity in the US, Asia and Europe.
