BIOGRAPHY Marilyn is an internationally known consultant and speaker who is known for the creative approaches she has taken in a broad range of experiences and programs. She consults frequently with corporate leadership groups, family-owned business, families of high net worth, family offices and private foundations. She strongly advocates that as we change so do the systems around us as she consults in board development and executive leadership development and coaching. For more than 25 years she has brought inspiration to groups and individuals through her knowledge of process in work and family systems. An organizational psychologist, and former Training Director for Rapid Change Technologies, Marilyn specializes in executive leadership development and change management. Marilyn brings her background in communications and family systems into corporate, family foundation and family business consulting. A Dean with the Family Office Exchange Learning Academy and former faculty at the University of Minnesota, Marilyn has consulted to many corporate groups. She has coached hundreds of senior executives and CEOs in a variety of businesses, ranging from small to Fortune 500 companies. In addition to leading seminars and retreats, Marilyn lectures nationally and internationally and conducts numerous seminars and radio-TV appearances. She has appeared five times on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She is the Founding Director of "Journeys Inward," an adventure travel company in which she leads cross-cultural outdoor wilderness journeys for clients to "meet a culture, meet a group, and meet yourself." She has led treks, climbs, raft trips and bicycle trips through Tibet, China, Greece, the Caucasus, Peru's Inca Trail, Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. She also leads corporate retreats in team-based experiential learning. Marilyn has a Ph.D. in Human Ecology from the University of Minnesota where she was honored as Outstanding Alumni. Her undergraduate school, Culver Stockton College chose her as the recipient of its Distinguished Alumni award. Her work has been recognized in The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, the St. Paul Pioneer Press, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Los Angeles Times, CNN Television, and was featured on Portraits, a public television program.
