BIOGRAPHY
Peter Barnes is a successful entrepreneur who has started and run several socially responsible businesses. Most recently he was a co-founder and president of Working Assets Long Distance. His newest book is Capitalism 3.0: A Guide To Reclaiming The Commons in which he details a revolutionary market-based approach to "upgrading" capitalism.

In 1995 he was named Socially Responsible Entrepreneur of the Year for Northern California.He is Founder of CFED's Sky Trust Initiative to reduce global warming, Founder of the Mesa Refuge, a writing retreat in Point Reyes, California, Co-founder of Working Assets, a Board member of Greenpeace International, Noise Pollution Clearinghouse, and TV-Turnoff Network.

Peter is a former journalist who has written for Newsweek, The New Republic, The New York Times and many other publications. He lives with his two sons in San Francisco, California.
