Ranked by Forbes as one of the "Top 5" most respected coaches, Richard is a best-selling author with thirty years experience in coaching people to live. Richard is a founding partner of The Inventure Group, a training and coaching firm. A pioneer in the field of career coaching, Richard has become an internationally respected author, speaker and a noted spokesman for "life skills" needed in the 21st century.
Richard has written or co-written five books. He has contributed to the Drucker Foundation book, The Leader of the Future, and the recent release Coaching For Leadership. Repacking Your Bags is an international best-seller published in 14 languages. Featured previously in the magazine, Fast Company, he is now an on-line columnist on Fast Company’s Web site (www.fastcompany.com). A National Certified Career Counselor, Richard holds a master’s counseling psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. His alma mater, Gustavus Adolphus College chose him as "Distinguished Alumni in Human Services."
