BIOGRAPHY With a recognized expertise in narrative communications for business, sales training and team building, Robert facilitates tailored interventions to generate authentic learning to achieve clients’ business objectives. He has also developed a proprietary method (PHAAT) which improves communication skills and innate storytelling abilities. This enhanced ability has many applications appreciated by clients including: engaging difficult audiences in new ventures; building a brand story; increasing sales and improving team problem solving abilities. Robert also coaches senior managers in financial, retail and manufacturing industries on their individual communication challenges including media appearances. His seminar “Leadership Communication-Why Great Leaders are Great Storytellers” has been conducted throughout the U.S. for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to rapidly expanding small business enterprises. As a thought leader in the field of narrative communication, he writes for MIT and Pegasus Communications, including his recent article, “Changing Organizations Through the Power of Story,” which appeared in The Systems Thinker Magazine. Currently, Robert and Richard Maxwell are writing a book for HarperCollins called Elements of Persuasion. Robert is an active member and seminar leader at The Society for Organizational Learning in Boston and a member of ASTD. Robert holds a B.A. in psychology from Goddard and studied psychology and philosophy at Union Graduate School in Ohio and the Institute de Gnosology in Santiago, Chile.
